Wow, This place is amazing! I came here for the lunch special thali and was absolutely blown away. The selection of curry’s and care the chef puts into his Thalis is top notch.
The butter chicken was probably the best butter chicken I have had in my life and the lamb curry was melt in your mouth good!
Sadly I don’t live in Nelson so I am going to miss this place till next time! The chef is also a really nice guy and provided us amazing service even though we were the only people in the restaurant for lunch!

It's a really delicious experience!
We got the Spice Shahi Banquet for 2, and we got to taste ten different dishes and the size of the portions were really generous.
We went early in the morning and Suraj not only was a great chef but also a great host.

Not knowing where to eat in Nelson our first day here we decided on Spice Curry Kitchen based on the reviews we read. The reviews giving Spice Curry Kitchen are not wrong, and if we could give more stars we would. The medium spice was perfect -just enough heat to bring out the flavours more than they already are there. We had the vegetarian feast for two and couldn't finish it. Great portions, and the presentation is top tier. We especially enjoyed the humour and efficiency from the young man serving us. We highly recommend Spice Curry Kitchen in Nelson as quite possibly the best Indian restaurant we've ever been to.

The best Chicken 65 meal, Naan bread, service, and prices. My son and I are regulars at this restaurant due to the consistent delicious quality of their food, the great prices, and of course the service. They are next to Lonestar in town, and I cannot rate their food and service high enough. Thank you to the staff.

Wow Nelson what a gem! I have stuck to our usual haunts and thought I would give these newcomers a go. Aside from their original menu items the prices themselves are way below the other restaurants. I was a bit suspicious, but needn't have been. The food was fresh, well constructed, and generous. Service was attentive, understated, and very professional. The decor is good but not polished like the chain restaurants, which may put some off, but look beyond. This is my new first choice. If you haven't tried yet, do yourself a favor. I had mushroom prawn with naan (prawn dish not pictured). It was beyond expectation and the naan (pictured) was layered and delicate. I highly recommend you give these guys a try.
