My husband and I used to live across the street from stewed cow and loved it. It recently changed management, and while they said they are changing the menu in the next week, they were still trying to use the original menu. The quality of the food under new management is nothing like how it used to be. We went for brunch, loving their brunch deal for $26, and received very disappointing food. I ordered the chicken and waffles and what I received was incredibly greasy tasteless chicken with two burned freezer waffles, drenched in fake maple syrup. Thankfully the server removed it from our bill, as it was not worth the $26. My husband’s steak and eggs was nothing we couldn’t have made at home. Hopefully the new management figures it out and restores the quality of food. We were saddened by our experience as we used to love this spot. Visited during Hudson county restaurant week for date night and had a great time! The 3 courses were all quite tasty and good portions. Very friendly and attentive waitstaff. It was nice that they had live music playing, but they had the volume set so loud that I couldn’t hear myself speak over the music (90-95 decibels). The atmosphere changed pretty quickly from a quiet, nice dinner spot to a busy bar scene with loud music around 7-7:30pm. Thankfully we were mostly done by the time that started. The stewed cow was our go to place. Our favorite date night or birthday dinner date. The ambiance is nice and they have a cool theme and there is a larger area towards the back if you want a quieter area with a little more space. Unfortunately they changed their menu. We would get the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese every time which they no longer had. Wish they didn't change the menu but still a great spot. There guacamole is AMAZING!! It's so fresh and refreshing at the same time... high quality. They know how to cook a burger. The chef understands the difference between rare, medium rare and so on and so on. The quality of the food overall is high. My party enjoyed the apps and entrees. The decor is simple and the atmosphere is cool; not too loud and you can still catch a great game on the TV while there. Come one, come all too this great place. Cool spot! This brunch was exactly what I wanted after a night drinking. They had a GREAT brunch deal - $25 for two drinks, a hearty meal, and some bread and chocolatey oatmeal. The breakfast burger was great, fries great and the oatmeal thingy was a treat for sure.

Amazing brunch spot! Such a great deal and we did not have to wait. Brunch comes with two drinks from an extensive list of options. Coming from NYC, my mind was blown. The food was good, burger was extremely messy but tasty. I loved the oatmeal starter. Great spot for catching up with a friend since it's not too loud.

Great bar in hoboken. Lots of screens to watch sports and good selection of drafts. They also have some tasty cocktails. They were out of the mix for the bori but tried the mango unchained and it was great. Fun place to check out if you’re in the area.

I’ve only ever been here for brunch and it’s a great deal! The pointsettia drink is a nice change of pace from a normal mimosa and the French toast was delicious. My whole family enjoyed their meals too. Good bang for your buck! Service Dine in Meal type Brunch

Food has always been very solid. Today though when walking home with my food my bag ripped and both meals were spread on the sidewalk. I called in and told them what happened and they told me to come back while they remake the whole meal. Amazing service. The ambience an the staff are amazing! The food and the cocktails are good! Just please made the meat of the tacos a little more tender! It was really hard to chew 😰, but the flavor was good.
