Such nice people and really amazing BBQ at reasonable prices! We sat outside with our dog, it was the perfect place to get a really delicious lunch while passing through Post, TX. The brisket was cooked to perfection, the fries were fresh and well seasoned, the okra was crispy and the beans were simple, but very flavorful. My husband got the Wheeler burger, the smoked burger patty had a beautiful smoke ring and the flavor was out of this world! Thank you so much for the food, service and welcoming our dog on the patio!!
Just as a note; There was at least one review that said the brisket had a lot of fat, while there was some fat in the brisket, it was the perfectly rendered and melted in your mouth kind of fat. The meat would not have been as moist and delicious if that fat had been removed before it was cooked, while I don't enjoy eating fat, I had no issue setting a few pieces to the side and my husband was thrilled to eat it.

How come there's only 5 stars on this rating system? We need more stars! Passing through from Tehachapi, California. This place was amazing! I hope you're hungry when you show up here. Great portion size for the price. Four of us left full and still couldn't eat it all. Brisket was as tender and juicy as a wagyu tri-tip. It melts in your mouth and tantalizes your taste buds. The potato salad was delicious. All of the homemade flavors and hospitality that you'd expect from a quaint little Texas town. Definitely give this place a try.

If you’re looking for locally sourced, smoked to perfection meats, this is your place! The Wagon BBQ should compete in competitions, it’s THAT good. And I grew up eating BBQ from Lockhart, Texas which is world renowned for its pit masters. This place is right there with the best of the best. If you’re driving through town, look no further and stop on in. You’ll be glad you did
We stopped here driving through based upon ratings. We love good Texas brisket! What we got was tender brisket that was probably cooked in the oven. No smoke ring. Not much of any seasoning. It was meat. It wasn’t BBQ as I know it. We had slaw and potato salad for sides at $2.50 each. They were meh. I gave it 2 stars because the owner was very nice. The meat was tender. The pulled pork might be a better option.
Great place, very conveniently placed for the traveler.
Corn was cooked perfectly, burger was good just not very exciting. Can't beat the atmosphere.

Everything you expect from a small town restaurant in northwest Texas. Like eating at home. Very low key. Relaxed. We were just driving thru on a long trip, found the place via Google. Glad we stopped!
Lively conversation with the staff. Great brisket and sausage plate! Lots of food for modest price.
Burger was cooked well done... was still good, but if the place wants to be known for burgers, they could work on that... a bit of pink (medium) wouldn't hurt. Ocra was fried hard, a minute less would be better.
No complaints. Praise for good people working hard to make ends meet providing home-style meals to locals in Post and the occasional passersby.
The place has that rundown blue-collar feel which is a staple of Texas BBQ atmosphere. If driving by, look for the Open sign.
