Visited the historic village and came across this awesome bakery/cafe. We ordered the Raspberry and Lemon cream donuts and hands down, best cream donut we’ve ever had! The donut was cooked to perfection and encrusted with sweet melted icing sugar. The dough itself had a wonderful bite to it and then the cream itself was nice and cold, with a nice freshness to it. We will definitely be coming back to this spot because of their donuts alone! Highly recommend :) Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Selection of Donuts & Slices

Popped into this cafe while visiting the Historic Village WOW, what a beauty lil place this is if you have a hunger on!! 😋 I felt like a wee sweet fix, and omg, I certainly got that! They have sweet, savory, hot cold food, I was so impressed. Professional friendly service with a smile 😃 definitely recommend if you're down the village you won't be disappointed 👌

In the last week, this place had been recommended by at least 3 different people. Decided to meet friends there for morning tea today. It didn't disappoint... what a selection! I chose - after changing my mind 50 times - the Salted Caramel Doughnut, and a long black. Both were really good. I mean REALLY good! Will be back, for sure. Loved the whole Historic Village vibe.

Overpriced and underwhelming food overall. The staff were slow, uncoordinated and yet it seemed like they were overrun with customers from their behaviour. We went here because the food looked nice and since it's the only food option in the historic village. Two female employees were talking about inappropriate disgusting private things while we waited and the wait was incredibly long for an underwhelming meal. They were completely unprepared to serve non-premade menu items so we waited for a long time. The service was unprofessional; the worst we've seen in Tauranga. Four employees struggled to take a few basic orders, one nagging another customer being served passive aggressively to wait impolitely. It was comparitively more expensive despite being worse in quality of food than other bakeries and restaurants in the city. The dining area is awkward as the picnic tables are not level to the ground outdoors nor are the two seating tables on the veranda. Eating inside is a no go with the sweltering temperature and noisy unprofessional employees. The food is so-so to bad in quality, tasting pretty poor compared to other options in the city, some of the food was even handled poorly and caused food sickness. The injected donuts are sickening and only designed to look nice but not terrible. The remainder of the menu is not great, you'd find better competitive options in the city with tasty food that won't cause food sickness and professional staff. The barbecue sub didn't look like the one in the display in the case at all. Rather than a sub It was a panini with cheap gross melted cheese, bacon, poorly seasoned pulled pork and no sauce cooked in a microwave and ended up giving one of our diners a sore stomach and nausea. I'd chalk this up to poor food handling from the unprofessional staff, still it was 15 dollars; it doesn't seem fair to pay 15 dollars for mild food sickness, terrible service and poor tasting food. I wouldn't recommend anything there since it tasted poor, the staff were unprofessional and it might be tainted. Bought a coffee that had to be made twice and the girl was so rude when I said it was so strong no one could drink it. I found the cakes expensive and very sickly too. If it wasn't for the healthcare workers around, I'm doubtful you'd be busy at all. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
