Wow wont describe the experience. We were welcomed and served by Tumelo. Feom the time we arrived to leaving we had the most amazing experience ever. This man knows his business and staff. New Eisburn was not crispy as it is claimed to be on the menu. Very gelatinous. New Roquefort snails were looking good but is definitely an acquired taste not for me, it also has no biltong powder at all. I will stick to the garlic cheesy snails. Took my family here for my youngest daughter's birthday along with a few of her friends. We did originally not intend to do so but after the arcade games everyone was famished. Best decision ever as our waiter went over and above what we expected. Took our orders from memory and got it right, food was great and the play area really looked after our birthday crew fantastically. The price was not the cheapest but considering you can really let your hair down and just enjoy the excursion makes it fabulously worth the spend. Definitely recommend. So my lady and I went out with a few of our friends last night, Everyone order different meals, however I ordered the lazy aged steak and after we got home after we did want we wanted to do , I got very ill all signs of food posioning. Keep in mind I only had a bottle of water and a coke after the meal, but as soon as I got home was sick all night long. I do not recommend this to anyone, it's unhealthy and wrong if you think about it I have paid the restaurant to make me sick, it's disgusting. Spur is our go to for any event worth celebrating. Fitting as such we went to Carnival City Spur for my son's birthday, if I can tell you it was so rowdy it felt like we were in a pub or a club! I felt absolutely embarrassed. The music was blasted to say the least, it was just chaotic! Waiters were busy dancing like it was a dance floor. We ordered food for around R650 or more and 1 of the meals the steak was so tough! My husband out of courtesy did not want to send it back instead brought it home for our dogs! To be honest we were so taken aback at the atmosphere and no loss to Spur but will probably not visit that branch again! Everything was good until the end of my day, where they had issues with their card payment machines. I was disappointed to be asked to go withdraw cash from ATM to make my payment. Food is always great at any spur!! Service here was a bit slow, but I was not in a hurry. The view is cool from the seating close to the casino area. I see lots of Indians in Carnival City so I would like to suggest that Spur offer more lamb meals as most Hindus don’t eat beef. In Durban most Spurs offer a few more lamb dishes. Also consider a 200g lamb chop dish because often I’m not that hungry but would like to eat at Spur.
