One of the more tarted up outlets from this almost traditional styled Hainanese styled branch of the TK group of bakeries scattered mainly around the west coast of Malaysia. The original branch was started up back in 1970, more than half a century ago. Interestingly this bakery seems to have been taken over by the new generation of better informed owners who have been injecting new ideas on the sort of pastries and breads that are baked fresh daily in house. They have thankfully remained true to the shop's origins and we are all the more grateful because of it. So the pork lard shortening remains in use for the popular egg tarts as well as the butter based crust ones. There's also the small 9TC Kopitiam cafe that operates in parallel with the bakery on the side serving hand brewed traditional coffee, tea, and soft boiled eggs. You can enjoy the baked goods purchased from the bakery over some really refreshing kopi peng kaw within the café premises. Fabulous.

Mad love for their fruit tarts! It tastes PERFECT! 😍 Perhaps the only thing that can be improved is making the crust softer because the crust currently is so hard that I struggle biting into it.

Famous bakery chain at Taipan. There are wide variety of products such as bread, cakes, mooncakes, pastries, etc. The price is reasonable. But, parking is very difficult here.

This is the lousiest cake shop I ever visit. The cake is not ready and just start decorating when I order ahead before. Their service attitude there is also terrible always face black. Not going to visit again!!! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

So angry for the “Promotion”! First time in to buy some egg tart, said got promotion, then ask me to join member, i ask is member free? She said yes, just download the apps and register as member then can get member promotion buy two free two. End up, it takes me five minutes to download the apps and register as member. Then take another 10min to re-que again, and the cashier said must top up the apps and use the apps to pay to entitle the promotion? Minimum top up RM30 and you can’t withdraw money back if you don’t want to use it. Your staff should told me at very beginning then don’t waste my time for this! I should give -100 for this

Decor is nice but it is definitely not the best egg tart in town as advertised on the shop front.. Bought my tart in the morning 10am for my lunch break but the crust crumbled like sand and the tart tasted nothing but sweet. Feels like a leftover tart from the day before. Been a loyal customer of TK puchong but this taipan branch still have work to do! Keep up the standard pls.

I don't recommend any of the cakes here, as the cakes here are extremely SWEET, especially the Swiss Rolls, the cream (filling) are extremely S.W.E.E.T, even if you don't have diabetes, you definitely will get diabetes after eating the cakes from here.

Bought a French bread, sausage bun and curry bun. I’m actually very surprised. Do you have to cut your sausage into half and put in the bun? I pity that sausage. And your curry bun inside is actually empty. Thanks for sprinkling some curry powder over my bun and named it curry bun. And your French bread, requested it to be sliced into pieces but it was just 50% sliced. I can help to sharpen your bread knife if there’s a need for my service.
