Although we had takeaway and recommended by a local the first impression was the incredible politeness in taking the order. My wife was referred to as Madam in a courteous way. So off we went to collect and the restaurant was busy yet the counter staff knew who we were and what our order was. Would have easily eaten in as the staff all seemed focused and efficient. Once we got our order home it was amazing and the same theme as other reviews continues. Good size containers and generous meat portions made for a fabulous meal and the following night. Check out the pineapple curry, it was my pick. Keep up the awesome service and work in such a competitive environment. Was recommended Ton's Thai by a work colleague. Food came out fast, friendly service and good value for money! I got the fried chicken noodle soup and there was so much chicken! Places in the city would only give you about half the amount. We ended up sharing a 3rd dish of soft shell crab (which we probably didn't need as the serving sizes were very generous). The sauce that come with it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend and will be back I ever get the chance! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Popped in for dinner on the way south. The place was packed on a Wed night. Delicious food and well priced for the quality. Staff were friendly though the service was a little slow. Ton’s is definitely my favourite Thai restaurant in New Zealand, I have tried almost all the Thai menu and I always get surprised. I wait the pay days to come and have dinner here. The relaton between food quality/size and prices are really good, and the staff is always so kind, starting for the owner who is always taking care on the costumers 😋🫰🏼 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Amazing! My wife and I had a fantastic dining experience at Tons Thai! I couldn't decide so I left the choice to the chef and I was pleasantly surprised when the chef's choice turned out to be the crab salad. The freshness of the crab and the unique blend of flavors in the salad left us speechless. My Wife ordered the chicken peanut sauce which was also a highlight, with the perfect balance of savory and nutty flavors. Overall, Tons Thai exceeded our expectations, and we left with full hearts and satisfied taste buds. We'll definitely be coming back for more! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered chicken peanut dish, was like eating pure sugar it was so sweet. I definitely don’t have a sweet tooth but the sugar lovers in my house could not eat it, as the dish cooled you could see the sugar crystallise, same with satay kebabs. It never fails to impressed me with the delicious foods & friendly service. This is my 2nd time @ Ton’s Thai and both my birthday celebrations with 2 years gap. I came with friends this time and they all enjoyed their first time experience and finished all the foods we’ve ordered, big servings too. A must-try restaurant! It pays to reserve a table for a convenient visit.

Great restaurant which is a must go when you’re in Ashburton and worth travelling just for it. Highly recommend the Nam Tok which is a Thai Beef Salad as I keep wanting more of it. Chicken Satay and Tom Yum are my other recommendations They also do Japanese food so don’t let that slip under the radar. The Sashimi they serve is great value for money.
