We came for an overnight stay in orovilke after a full day hiking. We were hungry and very excited to try the food since it was well rated. We ordered three items. We are foodies and have had these dishes in many different restaurants all over Bay Area and in the world. 1) Salt and pepper ribs 3 star wasn’t very flavorful but not bad. We’ve had better garlic flavor was not strong and it seemed like it was out of a premade chopped garlic salt and pepper part not strong. Portions were huge so that’s 4 stars Overall 3.5stars 2) wonton soup 4stars The wonton themselves were blah and very bland and the wrappers were terrible. However they topped it with a stir fry of meat snd veggies sautéed in a nice sauce. I’ve never had that before and unusual but delicious pairing. The wonton ehhh but the rest of it was delicious 3) mixed chow fun special was delish 4 stars Noodles were decent semi fresh and the sauté and sauce was delish. (Same as what was on wonton soup) We had large portions which was a plus and we were hungry and still had leftovers. But the quality is so so since we are used to really good Asian food in our area(and we can cook some of it better) Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
We went when they weren’t too busy at 7:30pm a group of 5 plus a baby makes half. We ordered too much, it was our first time here and they give you lots of food which is good! 👍🏻 The food was superb! Would come again! We ordered too much guess our eyes were bigger than our stomachs haha!!! Lots of leftovers which is nice to have the next day! Highly recommend! Also the staff were really nice to us! :)
Tong Fong Low... what more needs to be said. I was a big fan when they had a restaurant in Chico, but due to COVID19 and family emergencies, it was shut down to concentrate on other matters. But in Oroville it's STILL going strong! Zero wait time to be seated, and the arrival of your food, served piping hot and fresh, was in a blink of an eye. Nothing has changed in service, taste, or portion sizes. Did we order too much...sure, only to ensure leftovers for lunch the next day. The flavors for every dish is outstanding, as is the portion size. I prefer to order ala cart, but the lunch and dinner specials are priced perfectly for 2-4 people. I will continue to drive from Chico for this establishment. They HAVE NEVER disappointed... so please, yet it once and you won't regret it. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100

Seated right away. Staff was very friendly. We ordered cream cheese and crab wontons, chicken chow mein- no veggies for our kids, Mongolian beef and steamed rice, and kung pow chicken with extra heat and steamed rice. I was shocked at the pricing for this place, $20 per plate, the chicken chow mein was around $11 tho. But then the price made sense when these heaping plates came out within 5-10 minutes of ordering. But then again most Asian restaurants have very large servings, these were bigger than normal. Food tasted good, the plain chicken chow mein was bland but nice and hot. The cream cheese and crab wontons were good, the sweet and sour sauce tasted weird tho, tangy with a bitter aftertaste. The Mongolian beef and Kung Pow chicken was delicious! The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is I was disappointed that I could not “upgrade” a beef chow mein to having the Mongolian beef. Any place I’ve ever been to join can have any flavoring choice of meat with your noodles. Here, you can’t. Plus the plates are very expensive so you’d have to choose or get both. Seems silly, but Its a commodity I really appreciate. Also I do wish they had half plates. These massive plates of food are borderline ridiculous. Overall, I’ll go again, but I’d rather order one or two things for the whole family to pick up and eat at home than sit in the restaurant and everyone choose what they want. Just too expensive.
