Over all the food was good. Good value. I got 1 fish 1hotdog 1 scoop of chips, and a cheeseburger all for $10 (may 2022) Friendly service. Fish- a good size, had a good batter to fish ratio. The fish was nice and creamy. Hot dog- was a good hot Chips where ok. Burgers fine. To sum up I will go back.

Wow! Best fish & Chip shop in New Zealand? I think so! As a first time vistor, I was made to feel like an old friend! Then I was embarrassed by how little they charged, then by how much they gave me!!! Do they make a profit? Or is this a service to the good people of Ashburton? I absolutely love coming here! Hasn't changed their prices since I remember, probably the cheapest fish and chips in ashburton at $2 for a scoop of chips. The owner is so kind and friendly towards everybody. She's the sweetest lady ever ❤️ if you want a cheap feed I reccomend coming here. Super yummy! Best fish n chip shop ever. The owner is the sweetest, most caring and hardworking woman I've ever met. She now runs this shop alone after her husband passed away and does so with all her usual love and dedication to get customers. We have been going there for over 30 years and still go back every time we visit Ashburton. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Great prices, very friendly welcoming staff. Nice fish n chips. The spring rolls and curry rice rolls are quite small and could be larger like other fish n chip shops.
