I've been to Twin Elk's bar about 15 times..more than half of the visits there were fights, drama, and/or truly questionable patrons. One guy got punched out and wasn't even causing problems.. if you're looking for drama and problems .. maybe this is the bar for you. If you are looking for a relaxing drink and good conversation.. I would go elsewhere. Not a responsible adult crowd here.
Watch your money!! 1 time I got short changed the second time I caught him! I'm not saying all staff are bad but it would be nice to know they can be trusted.
Perfect remodel of a downtown space IMO. I've spent my life doing interior finishes as a contractor so I notice such things. It has the feel of a mountain bar with rough sawn cedar used as 65% of the wall and ceilings which lends warmth to the space. They left some exposed brick but did not over do it. Many try so hard to do that and use period too fancy trims which start to make it feel cold and leaves little opportunities for cabling. They have a great TV and sound system. A good area for karaoke. Oh, and dare I say, VERY reasonable drink prices.
By far the worst customer service experience that I have been a part of. After sitting front and center at the main bar for a little under a half an hour my presence was not even acknowledged after making attempts to get the bartenders attention. As I sat patiently waiting he proceeded to look in my direction along with another group that wasn't getting served just to say "it is what it is". All in all I do not recommend the establishment.
