It was my first time visiting University of Beer. I went with my two brothers and my sister in law. The service was a bit slow, but we later found out the Pliny the Younger beer was being served, so maybe we came on the wrong day lol. The food was really good. Me and my sister in law got the fish and chips, and my brothers got the nachos. We had a bunch of the beers and the shooters. Very good and affordable. We spend no more than $300 between all of us. So the restaurant is as described University Beer has a college vibe. The service was great Bella was our server and she was very prompt always checking on us and making sure we were taken care of(drinks,food, appetizers ) she was also very pleasant and friendly, she greeted us right away and asked where we wanted to be seated. The food was literally the worst experience I've had in quite a while. I'm not normally a complainer but this was bad. I got the 101 Burger and beer battered fries, my girl got the wings. The fries came out barely warm, the burger was so overcooked it was so dry, grainy and chewy. I only powered through 2/3's of it. The wings were also incredibly overcooked and dry, the bones were actually falling apart. I had 1, she made it through 3 and gave up. The service was great and I let her know what was going on, that I absolutely didn't want anything for free they just need to know. Like I said, I honestly don't ever complain and definitely don't send anything back. This was just that bad of a food experience I couldn't hold my tongue. With the prices of things these days and especially here, this was unacceptable. I would expect this at a fast food joint, but I would have gotten something better had we gone to fast food.
