After a walk around Salem Public Library, many visitors stop by this bar. Nicely cooked cuban sandwiches, hot sandwiches and philly cheesesteaks will impress you at the first bite. It's a pleasant experience to eat good biscuits. The whole impression won't be complete without coffee that is great here. Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. A number of guests find employees attentive. You will like adequate prices. Most of the time, the cool atmosphere is to be found here. The overall score of Valiant the Sandwich on Google is 4.6.

This place has an excellent, easy to read menu. The staff is friendly and kept our bevereges topped off. The menu is sandwiches and hamburger's mostly but the sandwiches are a wide variety of ingredients and flavors. i was starving so i picked a cuban... it was loaded with very tasty ingredients. It came with tomato soup. The manager let us taste some pork belly chunks and it was instant love! I plan to make many return trips the valiant, there are many items on the menu i want to try. The name of valiant the sandwich is in the process of being changed but will still be valiant. Downtown salem is a better place for having this sandwich shop. Small sandwich restaurant with a full service bar and minimal outdoor seating. Cool, casual vibe. You walk to the counter, grab a menu and a seat and a server comes over. A friend and I met for lunch and neither of us had been in before. It’s clean and our server was good. Food came out in an appropriate amount of time. I ordered the Cindy Burger with fries and a side of ranch and my friend ordered the Rueben with the same side. We split the dishes so we could share the food experience. The burger was really good! Seasoned well and even had a hint of spiciness to it somehow. The produce on it was fresh and the bun was toasted to perfection. The Rueben I wasn’t so thrilled with. It had good flavor but the meat, to me, was too thick and too fatty. The fries were seasoned and hot and the ranch dressing on the side seemed very fresh. I think every place and everybody always has room for improvement. For my first visit, and for reading about it for many many months, I found this to be just what I expected. The service was fantastic, and what I mean by that it was a person that appeared to love what they do or perhaps the interaction with people. I sat at a window seat to watch the people walk by and when I looked over my shoulder, the place was packed. Are you looking for a tasty burger and sandwich shop in Salem, OR? Look no further, @valianteats has one of the best cheeseburgers in town! Their hand-made patties with melted cheese and fresh toppings, along with a side of crispy fries, make it one of the best in town. We also tried the Reuben sandwich, which was good but a little fatty. The atmosphere is really chic with their red brick some abstratic artwork. The waitress was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. They also have Happy Hour and a great cocktail menu! I will definitely be a returning customer. Everytime you try a sandwich here at Valiant it becomes your new favorite. The Ruben is dank and my fav... until I tried the Hot Jam... until I tried the Cubano... etc etc etc. Laid back atmosphere and super friendly staff. Once you come here and taste ANYTHING... you'll crave it.. like I do. A++ The Mad Scientist in the kitchen is always changing it up on the menu... today I had bacon sliders w marshmallow creme... exceptional! Great and unique food, lots of options for everyone. Their roast beef is great. The Mill Street is a must try, I wish they brought back their version of the French dip sandwich, it was my favorite thing on the menu. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I'm blown away. Had a burger at the suggestion of the waitress, and it was incredible. A proper high-end burger in downtown Salem. Bo and Vine is a close 2nd, but this sandwich shop can laly claim to the best burger in Salem. Good liquor and beer options. Friendly service, laid back. One of my favorite places in salem for all types of sandwiches. The smash burgers are quite tasty, and the cold sandwiches are always filled with assorted meats and sauce.
