If you want to try some good coffee, this restaurant is a decent choice for you. The spectacular service is something these restaurateurs care about.

Food was excellent and comfortable seating was available. It got quite busy during lunch time so you may want to come before the peak hours. Food options are a bit limited since it’s a cafe. Service was good but a bit slow at times, likely due to just a few waiters being available. They were very friendly though. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 50–100

The staff are friendly and helpful and the food and drinks are usually really good. They do seem understaffed on a Sunday as we waited longer than usual for our meals. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

The W Cafe has a general reputation of providing great food at the highest quality which is what you would expect being a Woolworths brand. Sadly as much as the food is delicious, the service from the staff members is utterly ridiculous. A Friday night when the Cafe is about 5 - 10% occupied however you would imagine that there was a queue to be seated as we stood for a while at the entrance to be seated. After nobody made eye contact or greeted us we sat at the one of the multiple empty tables. After awhile the menus appear and that was it no greeting, welcome or introduction. My 4 year old hungry son needed something quick so we opted for a small milkshake and toasted cheese sandwich. To which I said please put his food through first because he is hungry. His milkshake arrives, I order a smoothie. My smoothie arrives 15min later and still no toasted sandwich, when I ask them it's on its way.... My mom and daughter joins us, again no menus or service. We had to go get them ourselves from the entrance. If we don't call them they will never come to the table and ask if you need to order. My mom ordered a chicken and avo open sandwich. After a while it arrives and then taking her first bite there was a bitter burnt taste, she lifted the toppings to find a black charred piece of bread. I mean who would knowingly place chicken and avo on a burnt piece of toast and serve it to a hungry customer? We finally get their attention to fix it and they take it back for it to arrive a few minutes later now on plain normal bread. Maybe the toasting part was too much work or complicated for the kitchen staff? We finished our meals and my mom and son leave. Sadly the empty plates and glasses stayed on our table for 15 - 20 min as again nobody came back to check up on us. I just wanted to leave and needed the bill but was fed up hoping someone would look my way so I finally stood up for their attention and the bill arrived. It's truly shocking that a brand like Woolworths would allow their customers to be treated in such an appallingly way. For me to take out the time to write this against a company that I associated with high quality is truly saddening. I was not the only customer who walked out shaking their heads in frustration wondering what is happening with this otherwise potentially wonderful café. I’m often at WW Café, for their wonderful menu, however the service is never commendable-it is either average or extremely poor. During off peak hours, the café is close to empty-but it always appears as though the waitresses are on a ‘go-slow’, and delay in bringing the menu to the table, taking the order, and eventually bringing the food (this happens on countless occasions). They create an impression that they are doing you a favour, and if you don’t gesture to them to take your order, perhaps you would sit hours at the table, without any service. I have encountered pleasant, polite staff, however, they are highly inconsistent-polite on one day; hostile and removed the next. I ordered lunch last week, and when I asked for the bill, the slim figured waitress with long braids (tied in a scarf), rolled her eyes and walked past. I find it appalling, hence, I have taken the time to write this review, with a hope that management will do something to save this otherwise lovely café. I’m certainly not the only one with an issue with the staff, I often witness disappointment from other diners, with regards to the staff etiquette.
