Local Waffle House overcharged me $10. I tried to call, but the phone number gives an automated message saying to order online and never gives options to connect to a person for other issues. So I drive back across town where the local Waffle House gave a quick refund with their apologies. For that location, it's a 4-5 Star review. For the moronic corporate decision to essentially remove a phone from the individual locations, it's a 2 star review. You're in the PEOPLE business Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

We were in Tampa for the weekend and decided to stop at the Waffle House at 922 E. Fowler Ave. We were greeted right away and told it would be a few minutes since there were others ahead of us. We decided to sit at the counter and I’m so glad we did. We had the pleasure of watching this eclectic group of 8-10 individuals working together and getting along. No one had to be told what to do, they just knew what had to be done and did it. The young were working with the elderly and it was just an all around good experience. The food was great. We will definitely visit the new one being built by us in Ocala, FL. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Where is a huddle house when you need one? Huddle house really needs to expand to fill in the gaps with waffle houses. Horrible service. I used to be able to call into my local waffle house to do a pick up. It used to be so Simple and easy. Now Waffle house has put up barriers for doing call-in orders. Now, you can’t call in a pick up order, you have to go on their website. Which is fine if the website weren’t so horribly designed that it makes it impossible to do a pick up order. The Waffle House website doesn’t identify the address I manually typed in to do the pick up order.. So, not only does waffle House make it Impossible to call in an order. They also make it impossible to find the location on their website that you want to order from. So, no call and pickups and no Internet pick ups no pick ups at all. They don’t wanna do any pick ups. Keeps going downhill & needs better staff. They just don't care & why should they. After all they get charged for a meal a day by Waffle House even if they don't eat. The food has gotten greasier over the years. They've changed the waffle recipe several times & the thickness of the waffle. Where I'm at the staff argues most of the time. It just not a fun place anymore. Sad really I grew up eating here. I took my kids when they were little. But I feel like I'll be going back much. I ordered 2 all stars breakfast and a chicken sandwich and was charged 36.00 even and was charged an additional 7.00 for what I don't know. Will be posting the store number tomorrow when I go back. I am 65 years old and grew up dining at Waffle House and in all those years I have never asked for a receipt until today. 7: 20 Sunday morning on 01/07/23: I had intended on eating my breakfast at the Airport Waffle house on Airport Blvd in West Columbia, SC but the music was blasting so loud it was like a nightclub so I ordered for my business associate and myself and ordered to go because of the loud music. I ordered two meals to go; a breakfast bowl for my associate ($9.75) and a single hash brown with a large order of bacon for myself ($8.75) sub-total of $18.50 and was told it was $24.00 I asked for a receipt because lately the the tickets seemed rather high each time I dined here and to my surprise I was charged an ADDITIONAL $1.85 because it was a "to go" order PLUS another $1.85 for a "Service Fee". In short I had to pay an additional $3.70 (20%), PLUS $1.53 for sales tax, (9%). total of a 29% adder on an $18.50 meal NOT INCLUDING tip which I did tipped $3.50. $27.50 for a small breakfast. After eating at Waffle House my entire life today I made a decision NOT to ever spend another cent at Waffle House because a 20% "fee" on top of paying for my meal, a high sales tax and tip is not competitive whatsoever and in my opinion is absolutely ridiculous. I will also tell every living soul that I encounter the rest of my life and THAT my greedy corporation is a promise! And to top it off the real F/U was that I was shorted two slices of bacon! I ordered and PAID FOR a large order of five strips and when I arrived at work I had only three. Such a pity that a business that I grew up with became another greedy. predatory corporation. I went into the waffle House on highway 64 Hendersonville North Carolina. I asked for a cup of coffee and a waffle. The woman is from New York. I asked her. She referred it to another waitress. No cream. Didn't ask. Then the woman from New York started complaining about me. Nobody likes me. I had a bad reputation at Waffle House. She said I was a nasty person. To get out and leave. Don't come back ever we don't want to see your face in here. I ordered before this other man and he got his food promptly. It was just a waffle. I waited and waited I said just cancel the order. It was not crowded. Four people in the restaurant including myself. Probably the worst experience of my life. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This is for a Waffle House I’m plain city Ohio on Sunday Oct 22! What a great team you have there! The placed was packed at least 5 waiting in line! But my service was excellent as I had to meet someone at a certain time. I was served with courtesy friendly young lady. It was crazy but the staff 9 members and managers were on it. The food was great just as I had ordered it! And the tables were cleaned off and a new guests were served. Well done. Congrats staff you as the Corp. should recognize that staff too! I wanted an order to go. NO LONGER AVAILABLE! You HAVE to order on line. Not happy at all! Very little ability to customize your food. If I'm paying my hard earned, I expect to have it like I want. I have never liked burnt bacon. Tonight I could not change the bacon. Corporate have even removed the phones! If someone had to call 911, they would have to use their own phone. Young employees at # 2446 acted like they're at a house party. 😠 Talking loud and laughing. Talking about "I was drunk" etc. Very bad work etiquette. So loud ( music too) I had to shout at my table companion. Won't be returning to that location. Management should be teaching these youngsters how to act right. Food was good. Service was good.
