We had a late dinner in Waves. The place is amazing, it's a hut on the beach, it's run by a family who is all engaged in customer service and they are great. They have a lovely dog as well. We wanted to eat a fish, so they went to the harbour to buy it especially for us! It was definitely worth waiting (more than an hour) sitting in front of the beach ( long beautiful and empty!) drinking beer and listening to the ocean. The meal that we received was delicious, it was a fresh grilled fish with papaya salad, roti, potatoes. The price is bigger than in touristic places, maybe because of the surrounding hotels. It is really worth visiting!

If you are in the area, please give Waves Restaurant a visit. The restaurant overlooks the ocean and you can eat while enjoying the sounds of the waves. The food is coconut based, which makes it very unique. The fish and calamari were caught that morning and everything was freshly prepared for us. It was worth the wait. We had the coconut rice and calamari which was very tender. We had the fish curry and the dhal, tomato curry and coconut rice accompanied it. The mango salad and coconut roti was something that I've never tried before and I loved it. I hope I can replicate it once im back home. 5 stars from me for ambiance, tasty food and lovely hosts.

We had a very unique visit at the Waves Restaurant. Although it seemed that it was closed at first, we were quickly welcomed very friendly. The food was delicious and the beach view was a fantastic addition to it. We also didn’t mind a bit of a waiting time (the restaurant told us upfront, that it will take around 45 minutes) - they even went and bought us Lion beer. All in all, a great stay and I would definitely recommend that place!

the best restaurants we ate at during our 14 days stay. The restaurant is run by one - or two?- people. So sometimes you have to wait 10 minutes to get your drinks and also for the food > 45 minutes. But the food it is amazing, fresh, a lot of different things to eat on the plate and made with love. The juices are the best we had! More smoothies than juices and awesome!

Waves offers stunning ocean views. The highlight of the meal was definitely the seafood - we ordered the grilled fish and it was great! The food was prepared simply, but it was bursting with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. Aside from the delicious food, the owner of the restaurant was very hospitable and made us feel right at home.
I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with a great view and delicious food.

We visited this restaurant with my girl, when walking along the beach.
The preparation time is long, as everywhere in Sri Lanka, but the food quality is excellent. The staff is very polite. We ordered a king prawns with coconut rice and mango juce.
We left this place incredibly full and satisfied 😊

Honestly, one of the most beautiful spots on this beach. Delicious, freshly made pinapple juice served by the very welcoming and friendly owner.
If you are approaching from the street just follow the the small way til the End and walk left.

Lovely restaurant in a desert beach.
Fresh food (different sea food everyday catched).
Perfect to late lunch or early sunset dinner.
If you are in a hotel around you wont be disapointed.
You will have the whole beach and (mostly) the restaurant just for you.
