We are from New York and every year we come to Jamaica Vermont and we Have to visit this lovely store. They have amazing things at very good prices. Their food is very good and fresh.
This place is really does feel like a community project. The upstairs is a second-hand store, and the downstairs is a post office, deli/cafe that sells locally made items and crafts. Big Vermont vibe.
This is a wonderful thrift store. It has a large selection of things, at great prices, all while functioning as a deeply needed community resource. In addition, the staff is wonderfully kind, I mean truly good people. The lady who was manning the thrift store, Sandy, is incredibly sweet, while being very efficient and helpful. Whether she is a volunteer or an employee, I don't know, but, either way, she deserves recognition. Downstairs, in the community restaurant (all prices by suggested donation, no one turned away for inability to pay), the lady working the counter responded to my accidentally rude social awkwardness (sorry!) by giving me a cookie. Seriously. Most people just get annoyed, but she responded with kindness, and it was so appreciated. All of this is in addition to the wonderful resources they provide to the community. These are good people, and this organization deserves all the support ❤
