The sides here are terrific! We enjoyed the fried okra, fried pickles, green beans, hash & rice, corn fritters, fries, and pork skins. Also try the blueberry cornbread if they haven't sold out of it yet -- sooo tasty! These guys certainly can make genuine Southern sweet tea...WOW! And, of course, the BBQ pulled pork sandwich was as delicious as I remember from our last visit months ago. We're definitely not waiting that long again to come back. Great staff! Great experience! What a great surprise. Wouldn't have stopped without a strong recommendation from a local. I enjoyed everything. They made a small mistake putting Baked Beans instead of Green Beans on the plate. Glad they did. Not only did they have me keep the delicious baked beans they quickly added Green Beans to the order. Delicious BBQ!!! I bought the ribs and brisket. It was so good!! My daughter lives in North Carolina and whenever I go to visit her or she comes here I have to get the ribs & brisket with the sweet sauce!! We had a fantastic get together & the BBQ was the hit!! Forgot to take a photo before we started eating. Overall this place is decent. The Mac n cheese and onion rings were great. The pulled pork and brisket were a bit dry but they had sauces to make up for it. Was sad to see no smoke ring on the brisket. Floor was sticky and took the sandal off my wife’s foot lol. Sweet baby Jesus in a manger of bacon this place is top notch. The inside is very cool and clean, was immediately greeted warmly as I walked in. I got the Texas platter. Big menu Lots of sides Desserts Daily specials …whoa - is this #meatchurch? Have I risen to the promised land of brisket and BBQ amazingness. I skipped breakfast for this and totally worth it. Yes. Excellent place to eat BBQ. The place was very clean. We were there at a non busy time, but people kept coming to take out food. The 4 different BBQ sauces were kept in warm containers. Self-serve drinks and to go containers available. They have a signature grape lemonade that is not bad. Overall, I enjoyed my pulled pork with green beans and mac & cheese. We’ve eaten at Willie Jewells twice and have enjoyed the experience. Their prices are average for BBQ/brisket these days but the flavor and sides are awesome. If you’re wanting a hearty meal with variety, check them out.
