I love this sushi restaurant - it has delicious, food, staff that are super helpful and friendly, as well as a trendy interior design. I’ve been coming here for the entire time it’s been open - 14 years.
Whether you come here for dinner or lunch, they have a great selection of something for everybody. My wife does not like sushi - but they have alternative dishes to make anyone happy! Best part is, I can still come for sushi with her! 😀
I cannot say enough about their lunch, specials and dinner, both are priced very fairly, everything is super fresh, I have never had a bad experience here, after being here, 50+ times.
Below is a picture of the sushi and sashimi lunch that I get weekly. It’s a excellent dish, and plenty of food for lunch. Highly recommended.
Next time here Newtown Square - make sure you come to Yuki, as you will be very happy! 🍣❤️

Sushi
We went on a Friday at around noon. We were the only patrons and were quickly seated for 2. They have a wide selection on their menu. They also have a lunch menu on weekdays only.
We ordered the Pork Bun for our appetizer and the Pork Katsu Curry Don and Chicken Katsu Curry Don for our entrees. We also ordered the two roll combo from the lunch menu (California roll and Spicy Salmon roll) but did not receive miso soup or salad as advertised on the menu. We would’ve asked for the miso soup but we forgot it was included (first time at the restaurant) and the waitress did not mention it at all.
The lunch special rolls were nothing spectacular. I forget if there were 6 or 8 pieces per roll. In any case, they served as a good snack as we waited for our main dishes, but next time I would opt out of getting sushi.
The Pork Bun appetizer comes with two buns on one plate. I didn’t snap a picture of it, but it’s as you would expect: pork, some greens, and a drizzle of sauce within a white bun. I thought the meat was a little dry. Unless you’re really craving Pork Buns and have no alternative restaurant to buy them from, I would recommend skipping the Pork Buns as an appetizer.
The Katsu Curry Don only has one spice level and was very filling. You get to choose between chicken or pork. As there were two of us, we got one of each protein. The meat comes covered in the curry sauce. There is also some vegetables and potatoes that come with the dish. Overall, I liked the Pork Katsu Curry Don. I was craving curry rice and it satisfied my craving.
In terms of service, although we were seated almost immediately, we waited quite a while to have our order taken, to get our food, and then to also get the check. Our seats were right near the entrance/reception desk and in the view of the waitstaff and kitchen staff. However, to be fair, 3-4 other groups did trickle in by the time our food was served and there seemed to be only one waitress working.
Overall, I thought this was a nice casual spot to get Japanese cuisine. We liked our main entree and were not put off by the service. I would recommend giving this place a try for their entrees. If I were to come again, I think we would skip the appetizers and rolls and only order our entrees.

I’ve been dining here for years- it’s always been 5 stars in every way. Best sushi and sashimi in Newtown Square/Media. Tuna tartare, salmon lover roll, spicy tuna roll, volcano roll, alaskan roll- you can’t go wrong. Always fresh, great presentation, good service, BYOB, go dine in! Or take out.

Friendly and attentive staff and in my opinion, the best sushi you can get in the greater Main Line/Media area. Price points are extremely fair and the atmosphere is quaint and gives you the feel of family owned business (which I believe it is). I've passed this place a million times whenever I drove home and am ashamed I didn't come in sooner! I will definitely be back!

Sushi night? Decided to venture out to the suburbs of Philly to try a place in Newtown Square. I didn’t think any place would match what the city has to offer with quality, freshness and taste but pleasantly surprised. The taste was there, freshness was there, everything was great 😋🍣

This was my first experience dining in at Yuki. I came across this place searching for sushi restaurants on Google Maps and this placed seemed to meet our needs.
I probably will not come back to this establishment again. The place was ½ to ¾ full, so not even at full capacity. The turnaround time for anything was way too long, and the service was lackluster. We placed an order for 1 appetizer, 3 rolls, and two udons. It's not a lot of food, however it took 45 minutes for the appetizers to come out, and another 45 for 3 rolls and two udons to come out. All in all we were there for close to 2 hours, thinking we would be in and out in less than an hour.
It seemed as though this establishment was prioritizing mobile orders (uber, dash, etc) over their dine-in patrons, which was off-putting.
As for the food itself - the sushi pieces were VERY small. Probably the smallest pieces within a roll I have ever seen. The udon was really good though, so I will give them that. The bulgogi bun wasn't anything to write home about.

Amazing- I moved to the apartments across the street a year ago and just discovered this place. I wish I found it a year ago! It’s BYOB, the food is amazing and the service is great! I often get the same thing (edamame, seaweed salad, California roll and bring a red wine) but every time it’s great. My aunt comes with me she gets other food and she says it’s excellent. The service is great and quick. It’s a small place and you would miss it if you were just walking by, but if you missed it you would be disappointed!

California Roll
We went on a Saturday night at 7:30. The restaurant was 3/4 full. Great food, great relaxing atmosphere, and very nice wait staff. It’s BYOB which is nice. Wine glasses and cutlery were very clean. Prices are reasonable. Sushi rolls and poke bowls were very good. Avocado salad with ginger sesame dressing was great. The only criticism is that we had to wait too long for our food. About 30 minutes for appetizers and then another 45 for entrees. Add time for eating , we were there for a total of 2 hours. That’s a bit too long for my liking. I try to get in and out within an hour, 1.5 hours at the very most. Hopefully it was just a one time issue. I’ll be back to give it another try. It’s a very nice place all around.

Finally some good sushi that isnt too far from where I live. It's just a 5 minute walk from me and its a really good chill spot where i can enjoy food that is not so huge in portion, fairly priced and not too crowded or loud that im able to work on my projects on my phone or computer. Plenty of parking.
I had the sashimi regular and the difference between the "sashimi regular" and the "sashimi deluxe" is the quantity. Every bite was saw fresh and savory. I actually felt satisfied eating their food and I even wanted to order more just to-go.
Leah was my server and she was very attentive. She was also very patient with me. I took a while to read the menu, but she was very friendly and accommodating.

Sushi
Atmosphere here is nice. Servers are friendly and provide good suggestions. Seating is comfortable, but if they were ever crowded it may be a tight squeeze and a bit claustrophobic, but that’s just me not wanting to be closed in like cattle anywhere. I was bummed they didn’t have any ramen, server advised it is only prepared during the cooler months. This made my belly pretty sad. Instead we enjoyed what was suggested by our server, Monkey Brain. It was good, flavorful and unique. We also chose 3 rolls: Dancing eel (our fave), Spicy tuna (second place), and Arizona (kind of bland/third). I also brought home a Dancing eel (duh, that good) and a Vampire roll to my son (which was pretty good, I sampled). I hope one day to return for their ramen.
