Everything you need from a local restaurant. The service is good with friendly people. The food was awesome! Such a nice grilled steak. Also the potatoes and pasta were good. We loved it. We would definitely recommend it to everyone to eat here.

Excellent service and on point gourmet food. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chef is doing and excellent job as hosting. Our waiter (maybe the owner) made us feel at home. You can also bring your own wine or order drinks at the bar nextdoor. We also had the chance to see a Bonifire after our dinner as the bar next door made one.
We ate here twice during our stay, and the food was unbelievably amazing each time. Great menu of lovely fresh food, and one evening a local came down to play the steel drum. One of my holiday highlights!!

Very friendly owner and staff, serving tight selection of seafood and meat. We had the catch of the day (impeccable) and lobster (very good, although a little over cooked). Not the cheapest for a “shack”, but worth visiting for dinner. There’s a great little bar connected to the restaurant
Not your typical service, the waitress was pleasant however, usually they ask if you need water at the beginning, that courtesy was not afforded to us and when you buy drinks, the drinks comes from the bar next door which was not top-tier at all. (Probably they had an off night) who knows.
The meals however BOom 💥 bang bang. It lash really well. The chief was pleasant and thoughtful. Loved it made it all worthwhile.

Surf and Turf, one of the best meals i had in Tobago!! Everything was so fresh and cooked at an expert level. The chef was wonderful, and made time to greet everyone in the restaurant. I would recommend to any visiting Tobago!

The food was delicious however there were too may lizards roaming for my comfort. The waitress thankfully was kind enough to make adjustments to the seating arrangements. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

The only thing I didn't do was lick the plate. It's an intimate setting with a rustic feel. The staff makes you feel like you're friends for ages. There are no words to describe how good the food tastes. Hands down will recommend this place to every single person I meet.

My wife and I had dinner there on Friday night. She had the fish cake appetizer, and I had the coconut bake with tomato bruschetta. Both were very tasty. My only complaint was that the coconut bake could have been a little crisper. She had Lionfish as her main course and I had the steak. Again, taste was excellent, my steak was perfectly done, the Lionfish was mild and flaky. The fish was very fresh, and the fish selection varies depending on what's available that day. It was also nice to see that Z's encourages the harvesting of Lionfish as it's very dangerous to the fish in our reefs. The food was outstanding and I would have no hesitation in recommending Z's for the food. The setting is very rustic and casual, which is not a problem, but there is a bar with pool table alongside, which I assume is associated with the restaurant. So my first complaint is that the volume of the music played at the bar was a little too loud for quiet conversation while having dinner. My second complaint is that some attention needs to be paid to the toilet facilities. While they were reasonably clean, let's just say that they are not something that I would encourage an overseas visitor to use. They need to be upgraded. If you can avoid having to go wee, you should wait until you get home. But I would go back for the food anytime.

Terrible service! Called both numbers on their social media pages no answer. Still drove down, they were open, no customers. The guy and girl in the kitchen COMPLETELY IGNORED US. COMPLETELY! we stood there in plain sight and we know they saw us. We eventually left and went to Seahorse Inn which was soooo AMAZING! Skip Z's Grill Shack. Check out Seahorse Inn or Waves or Fish Pot instead.
