Loved this place! Away from the boisterous ambience of the street. This restaurant offers delicious homemade German food for those who miss the central European flavours! The place is quiet and cozy with very kind and attentive staff. Will definitely come back!

Good food. My sausage was seemingly deep-fat fried and wasn't juicy at all, but it tasted good. It's a bit expensive, that's probably because of being imported. It's not a very friendly place, at least by my one and only experience! I was on an expensive touring bike with bags and some Thai guy, who was sitting with a guy who I assume was the boss, in a quite unfriendly manner told me to park my bike around the corner where I couldn't see it. I was just about to leave, but luckily, the guy who I assume was the owner said it was fine to park my bike near my table... Which was NOT in the way if anyone, besides, I was their only guest. 🤦♂️ They both left. Again, good food. That is why they got 4 stars instead of 2. I won't be back.
This is European food paradise in Udon Thani! So happy to find this place. They serve very delicious food and have warm welcome service also good attention to customers. Thank you for good time here! Highly recommend this place!
Great German restaurant with late night hours too. Big portion sizes and prompt service. Good value for the money and friendly staff. I had the snichezel and patotes which came with a side salad as well and was delicious. Extensive menu and many classic dishes on offer. I will go back again...
Very good German Food and a nice owner.
Only tried the Cordon Bleu here but that several times. Very good. Crunchy, good cheese. Good meat.
Think the other food will be equally good.
Prices moderate and good value for money!

A very German oriented restaurant but with a picture menu easy enough to navigate. Food fine and furnishings a cut above the average.

A SMALL CORNER OF GERMANY
In Sampantamit Road, that can be called the main street of Udon Thani in many respects, are establishing some locals offering national cuisines. For a long time, and well known, there is the Italian
restaurant Da Sofia. More recently, a small but pleasant local of German cuisine quietly proposed itself, at first as Bar & Restaurant. For a few months it was mainly bar, meeting place of German residents or tourists that around one or two tables consumed a quantity of beers but above all chatted among themselves in their native language. Slowly the place has grown also as a restaurant, and today it is above all such. German Farangs, sometimes with their Thai companions, and tourists attracted by the
national cuisine that is offered to them alternated around the few large tables of the indoor room or the smaller tables of the outside. The restaurant serves few dishes (but they are rapidly growing in number)
and classically Germanic ones: an excellent Wiener schnitzel, a good quality goulash, goulash Suppe, Cordon Bleu, traditional frikadellen and more, dishes accompanied as is customary in Germany by small
salads, a sauce and a good rye bread. As for drinks, the local offers beer of course, but also generous glasses of wine. The Thai cuisine (often of Isaan style) is fresh and tasty. The family setting desired by
Ludwig, a pleasant German from Pfalz Region, involves some slowness in service, but bearable because accompanied by the ever present and smiling kindness of the Thai ladies who serve at the table. Prices
more than affordable.
Eat a 400 THB steak a couple of month ago. Excellent meat, very good. We came again in June 2018, order the same 400 THB steak which was now awful. Not comparable with the previous one. Even for a price of 200 THB (we paid 400THB!) too bad. We complained and the answer was: different butcher, we were looking for a cheaper price..... And then you get indeed cheaper meat, which is not eatable.
So you loose customers when you do not change your price of 400 THB.
